Everything Happens for a Reason...Deer Jerky Anyone?

I believe that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes I can find that reason really easily, other times...not so much.

Yesterday morning, I hit a deer, going 75 miles an hour. And I can site some very specific things that happened for a reason. The day before I was at a car dealership, my spouse and I are going to be getting a second vehicle. We are finally replacing the Prius I wrecked earlier this year. (Yes, I have wrecked two cars in 6 months, not sure the reasoning here). I test drove a car I really like, and I wanted to buy it, then and there and drive it home. My husband encouraged thinking on it, and waiting. I was not happy about it. I was a bit annoyed, honestly. And as it turns out, I am very happy for it now. Because if I had bought that vehicle, I would have been driving it, and totaled it.

And totaled the car, I did. One of the students that was with me, laughed at one point after seeing the front of the car and make a comment about me hulking out on the things in my life.

Now as far as actually hitting the deer, I'm currently clueless. I know there was a reason for it, I'm just not sure what that is. I have made some guesses; maybe one of the students with me would have gotten hurt if we would have made it to our destination, maybe on the way home we would have gotten in a car accident (with another vehicle) and one of us would have gotten hurt, maybe one of these kids are going to get in an accident later in life and they just learned a key piece of information about car accidents that's going to save their life one day.

We were fortunate. All three of us are okay, no injuries. So maybe it was something as simple as being reminded that life is precious.

I don't know why we hit that deer yesterday.
